Larry Scroggs. Notice the pagoda to the rear of the compound. We wanted this removed because it provided shelter for any attacking forces. However, it was a Buddhist Temple, so we couldn't do anything about it.
NOTE: when I returned to Phuoc My in 1996, the pagoda was still standing.
